One Week In Wisconsin
One Week in Wisconsin is an ongoing series to be finalized in seven drawings. Though parks and natural areas throughout the state are ostensibly the subjects, the drawings were created using photographs taken during a one-week camping trip in the late summer of 2020. The titles for these works allude to the events that occurred during this period, amid the pandemic, a highly divisive election, and directly following the Jacob Blake shooting, subsequent protests, and unrest in my hometown of Kenosha. The works in this series are completely absent from people as I acknowledge the escapism inherent in this trip, while their titles acknowledge the foolishness and futility of the attempt.
